Customer Profile: University of California Irvine is a major cancer and genetics research facility in the California public university system.

Business Challenge:
UCI had been collecting and storing data submitted from the many cancer research centers.
After several years, the databases contained enough material to provide substantial input for ongoing research.
However, our client had no programs to provide routine reports and analysis and was limited to manual database operations to cull the valuable data they had collected.

Solution:
We developed a Pedigree Viewer application for our client and integrate it with the client's existing Oracle database.
We used Java to develop a set of data analysis tools that could be securely accessed from anywhere in the world using a web browser and an account issued by our client.
We developed the Pedigree module, to draw Pedigrees on demand for any given cancer patient and their family.
We provided reporting functions using MS Excel, document portability/printing control with Adobe, and the ability to download data in a format suitable for export to other leading genetics analysis software.
